Default Spudz's 91 miata project!

So, as most of you know, I am a huge Subaru guy, but after going to the OCC meet and seeing what a boosted miata can do and how fun they are, I wanted one! I was looking for one that needed alittle work so I can make it the way I want and get it cheap so I could say that it is the first car I paid for 100% since I got the impreza for free from a friend.

9/14/12
It was delivered! I was so happy, I got it for a great price! Motor needs to be rebuilt and the body isn't in the best shape but I couldn't be happier with it!

Here is a few shoots of how it sits as of today (9/16)

Car only has 109k on the body and came with the service records from 1991-2010 and mics. books, magazines, newspaper clippings, and orginal window sticker, build sheet, even the deposit check!

The motor is being rebuilt and put back in in the spring. The body work will be done through the course of the winter and I have a plan for the paint.

Hope you enjoy and stay tuned for more! Any help or input is welcome!

My plans right now are to do the body work, get it painted, get the motor and trans back in, and the guy who I bought this off of is a friend of mine who builds turbo miatas all the time, so once he comes back from Afghanistan, we are gonna boost it. Not sure what set up yet but I am gonna shoot for around 210 whp for a good street, autox, and maybe drag car since a bunch of my friends go to the track every so often.

210 is very doable with a stock 1.6. my car is actually in that range. very fun to drive, its enough to be faster than a stock 5.0 and 4.6 mustangs. im making that on a stock 1.6 with 180k miles.

Thanks guys! I'm doing as much research as possible to find the best set up to get like 210-230 whp that is safe for the block and DD for the warm 3 seasons.

So this is the list I have collected so far but can't figure out which turbo and what psi to be at in order to get my 210-220 whp:

RX7 460CC injectors
MS
Good Manifold (FM most likely)
2.5" or 3" downpipe
Free flowing exhaust

but still no idea on the turbo! Please help! lol

A few turbos come to mind for that power goal. Gt 2554, the stock turbo off the sr20

I've driven a car with the 2554, in boost in what seems like instantly and plenty of power for a stock bottom end.
