I just went out and looked at both of mine again both or 96 models one is a march 96 date the other is a aug 95 mfg date which would be still an early 96
the AUG 95 one has a label The only place that there is a pin is in the
KLN TEN +B
SGND

FAB IG- GND TFA F/P

Now the Mar 96 one does not have a label but the only pins are in the same spot as the other one. I do not know why it has a SGND as per the diagrams it should have only GND
The drawing for 94-97 are different than what my 96 appears to be
the drawing has
FEN MEN TEN B+
X KLN TEN B+ mine is this

94-97
GND
SGND mine

It almost looks like a 96 is a cross between the 949597 and the 99
It is possible that the diag box in my aug 95 had been changed out but then that still would not explain why the mar 96 one looks just like it only no label

It would be nice to get a couple of actual 96 owners to look at theirs and post that way I would know if mine is right ,wrong ,or half right half wrong
Do appreciate the trouble you have gone through to make the drawings and post them
So hate to even say anything but it could save someone else a head ache if the 96 is different

there should be one 94-95
then one for the 96
then one for the 97
or one for 96-97
I do not know if it really would make any difference but I know someone knew will come looking and this same question will come up again.I know I would be as I am looking at them and sayiing mine is different . If we get the boxes and pinouts right for the different years then it saves going over this a year from now
I know you guys are probably going to track me down and cut my fingers off for harping on such a small detail.

you'll never use FEN or KLN/MEN.

Did they come on as soon as you jumped it or after you had been running it a while
The fans will come on if it gets up to temp or you hav ethe A/C on
Make sur eit is up to operating temp. Fans are off and then apply the jumper
If the fans kick on leave the jumper on and see if they kick back off, they may be coming on to cool the car down.
CAUTION !!! make sure you are turning the correct screw there are two screws . Do not mess with the one that has an allan head with a lock nut on it . If not sure do some reaading before doing anything
WHy are you adjusting the base idle are you sure that is the problem

The second the pins are joined the fans kick on, as soon as they are removed they go off, I left them on for about 10 mins to see if they would go off but they didn't.

The car has idled above 1k since I got it, I've checked for all the usual vac leaks etc but havnt found anything...

The TEN pin has been abused in the past :/

maybe someof the others will be here latter .I do not remember if they should or not but don't think they should, unless the car is running hot or they have been hooked in parrallel
to come on.
They should only come on if iit statrs getting above normal temp or if you have the A/C on
If no one else replies I will check mine to morrow and let you know if they do or not
Is that your box in your hand or is a pic of one. If that is yours are you psitive you got the wires back in the correct spot?Esy to get them eorng
