For Sale 1994 Mazda Miata Hard Top

Okay, it was for me. But how else to convay in a friendly way that the market sets the selling price - not the seller? It doesn't do him any favors to put time and hope in a price that sets records. In ten years I have never seen anyone ask so much money for a used hard top that will require a respray. Mint condition ones in the factory colors go for $1300. Maybe that is a better way to advise?

Maybe it would be better to convey it in a friendly PM? We just generally try to avoid saying subjective things about pricing or quality of items for sale in the sale threads. Elsewhere on the forum discussing average pricing of Miata parts on the used market is fine. I don't really mind at all. But people shouldn't be forced to defend their pricing or the relative value of items up for sale. I have seen hard tops on Craigslist for much more than $1500. This fellow is certainly entitled to list his wares unmolested here in The Happiest Place on Earth™.
