Default differential for a 92

im looking for a diff i dont have much cash at all but i have a cat back apexi exhaust, momo steering wheel, and nrg short hub.

i would like to trade those for a stock wheel and hub and a diff if possible. i just really want my car on the road. i just got it had it for 12hours and diff blows out.

If you're just looking to get back on the road, BTDT racing has the 90-93 diff for about 225. Also give PartsGroup a call. They tend to have better prices.

Sorry to hear that it happend after 12 hours, that really sucks.

yeah it sucks, and cause this happened im trying to just get an open diff and not weld it just daily driver till i can afford to replace diffs wen this happens again. i will check those places out thanks.

and how much extra work is to swap in the 1.8 diff

Not too much more. You'll need to buy the half shafts for a 1.8 as well instead of reusing the old ones, but it all bolts up the same. When you go to break loose the rear hub bolt, get the biggest cheater bar you can find and a few friends that resemble gorillas. That's the worst part of the whole job.

alright, ill have to look into doing that once i can afford it. im just trying to get back on the road.

I may be swapping my 1.6 open diff for a 1.8 Torsen in the next few weeks if you are still looking for one (140k miles). I am located in CT.
