I have a 2000 Mazda Miata SE for sale, in USA - Texas.

Mileage: 97000 miles
Engine Size: 1.8L

Asking price is $6500

Decided to sell my Miata after much thought. A lot of work has recently been done. Everything listed below has about 3000 miles on it:

949 Endlinks
Full Polyurethane Bushings
FM Sways
FM Happy Meal
Alt + Acc Belt
Water Pump
Timing Belt
Shifter Boots
Megan Racing Coil-Overs

In addition it also has:
Racing Beat Header
Racing Beat Cat-Back Exhaust
Racing Beat Intake
Properly depowered rack w/ P/S idler pulley

The car is not perfect, but nothing that can't be fixed. The megan racing coilovers are actually fairly decent. The ride height is a bit higher now than in the pictures above. I rarely scrape anything, even over speed bumps. Of course as it is an SE, it has a 6spd, torsen and 3.909 gears. Mechanically this thing runs great. Consistently 28-30mpg.

Optionally available is all my spare miata parts. Including a spare engine, which is nearly complete. 97' block in good condition, with good condition 99 head.

Honestly I'd love to keep the car, but as I will soon be going back to school, just can't afford to have toys. The MR-S is also going up for sale.

Best way to get at me is via email right now MXRoadster97@gmail.com
PM works too, I'll try and check everyday.
My retarded iphone broke yesterday so I currently have no phone. But I rarely am able to answer it anyways.

Sure, sell it after I buy a HT. Decide to keep the MR2? As to the Poly bushings, you can add zerks and grease the crap out of them and they are nice and quiet. I used the grease from 949 racing and I have no noise after two years on them.

I had definitely planned to put some zerk fittings on there eventually.

I haven't really decided what I want to do. I'm trying to sell the MR2 and Miata. Whichever sells first I'll keep the other. If I get this job I'm trying for I'll be moving soon and can't take both cars.

The price is negotiable. btw

I'm not interested, but I must say...I love your car. I love the color, I love the HT, I love the fact that it's 6 speed, I love the gearing...and even though it's not turbo'd, it is setup pretty much exactly the way I would've done my car if I wouldn't have turbo'd it.
Good luck with the sale. Somebody will be getting a great deal and a very nice car.

I hate to see it go but it's just not in the plans. I'm hoping to get this new job, and if so I want to buy a house, and hopefully put a good amount of money down on it and focus on that.

If I don't get the job, I'll be going back to school for a couple years and will be a broke college kid for a bit. I probably will pick up a $500 beater.

Either way it's a great car. I have so much fun every time I get in it. It's great fun. I'll definitely pick up one again when the time is right.

GLWTS, so man to man, which car did you like better the Miata or the 2?

They were each better in their own way.

The MR2 just felt more refined. The body was much stiffer and I liked the interior much better. You sat lower and the steering wheel is amazing. The shifter was precise, but a little stiff compared to the miata. Although the engine was in the wrong place, it was always fun hearing the engine behind me. And I got 100 times more compliments in the MR2 than the miata. The engine is solid and the car handles amazing. Although I never had any issues keeping it under control, even in the rain, the mid engine always felt like it was gonna let loose.

The miata on the other hand is simple. There isn't any work on the miata I don't feel comfortable doing. I can push the car pretty hard and don't worry about any unexpected movements, it's much more balanced than the MR2. Sounds weird to say, but the storage space in the miata is nice. The MR2 just has a small bin behind seats.

I always feel like when I'm driving one, I wish I was driving the other haha. If the miata doesn't sell by the end of this month I will probably go back to driving the MR2, and put the miata under the knife again to fix all the small issues.

cool to hear your first hand comparison,

I've never driven the spyder just old school 91 turbo. I would of gotten one but to DD it's just too impractical for me. Mid-engine does interest me but the 1/2 input driver mentality is something I'd have to get used to.

Anyways, I told Tom to buy it back lol

good luck on either sale.
