I have a 1994 miata and looking for someone who builds these. I believe I can save a few bucks having someone build one.

if not is there a benefit of having one built instead of just buying one?

Get the DIYPNP. Costs less than a MSPNP and has the MSII. Unless you don't know how to solder. It would likely cost you the same to have someone put it together (Parts/Labor) as it would to just buy a MSPNP.

I believe you can still save ~$100 over the MSPNP if you have Brain, Wayne, or Jeff build you one. Those are all mt.net peeps btw. There's a few more who build, search around.

Benefits of a MSPNP is no adapter cable, and more reliability, but then again most of us don't have issues with a unit built by Brain and co.

I was in the same position as you when I started looking into MS. I can't solder so that was the main factor. I just kept watching the classifieds and finally found a MSPNP with tuning cables, injectors, and IAT for 500 shipped.

I love the pnp, but if you can get some of these others to build you one, it will be just as reliable as the MSPNP.
