Default Legroom again

Sorry to beat a dead horse, but I have searched and cannot find an answer to my specific question. I have owned 10 Miatas including 3 spec racers, but have not had one for several years and have decided to get one again. I auditioned two 2006s and was disappointed to find that I was very tight for leg room in a GT with leather while I was comfortable in the car with cloth. Is this likely to be true with all leather equipped cars or are GT cars set up differently than non GT cars? Are newer cars more likely to have more leg room and if so, starting with what year?
Any help would be appreciated.
TIA

Hmmm... interesting. I really don't think there is any difference between leather seat equipped cars VS cloth seats. When I bought mine I had to play with the seat settings until it was just right. For me, I had to move the seat closer to the steering wheel so I could recline the seat back to give me head room. I've had it six years now and have plenty of leg room AND head room. When I bring it in for service I can tell right away that the seat has been moved. Even slightly.
