Ok... sorry, I'll take some better pic's and post.

I'm currently running CW pistons at 9.0 compression, Begi S4 turbo at 20lb with a Forge recirculating/blow off valve. The block has been bored to 88.0mm and am running a forge Ranger crank with polished journals and forged K1 rods. The head has +1mm intake and exhaust valves, Cosworth cams, Cosworth valve springs and held together by Cosworth (APR) bolts. Have upgraded oil and water pumps, oil cooler and plumbing for a custom oil cooler set (not completely up and running yet). Front tower bracing, sway bars front and back, under car bracing, end links and cross drilled vented brakes. Have 3" exhaust with small Blox fart can (loud as all hell), Tenzo wheels (too heavy - do not recommend but they look sweet) and Tokico (if I remeber the name correctly) shocks and Ebach Sportline springs. Have K3's to install - just have not gotten around to it yet. Have the aluminum flywheel and an ACT six puck clutch that is killing the flywheel - second replacement needed in as many years.... not much left as OEM. What else... Begi custom intercooler, catch can for PCV and water/meth injection. Have a very nice red dash... like that one - nice mod.... radio, speakers and amp - all after market.... That's what i can remember off hand...

Plans for future.... get this thing tuned and dynoed. It's an expensive mistress and I need new clutch/flywheel, tires, exhaust (leaks!), oil cooler setup and install the K3's... another + $2,000.00 in parts and labor. Once she's squared off I'm going to keep her as is and maybe work quietly on a bored out 2.3 block with 92mm 10.5 compression Supertech pistons, K1 rods and forged crank, I'll probably work the valves again but leave the Mazda cams.... then swap and retune for a year....

pic's coming soon...

Wow. I would love to know what your dyno graph looks like. It sounds like a screamer!

What do you consider your safe redline to be for shifting?

I haven't been past 6000... the turbo hits 20lb and the thing takes off like a bat out of hell. I back off cause I run out of road or something. I'm running too rich and the timing is off. I'll dyno when I have it sorted.

Only comparison I have is a Benz C63 coupe. He pulled up while I was in sixth, lined up and took of. I did not down shift - just stepped on it. Keep the car length he took off the start for about an 1/8 of a mile or more - did not pull forward on me. All on a closed track of course....

working on tuning the fuel first then some mechanical issues like leaking exhaust... hope to have it ready to dyno by summer. WHEN IT HOT! oh well...

Hi my name is Caleb Calloway and I purchased a NC 06 and its now time to do some more modifications. I'm looking to do intake system, and exhaust, but first I am trying to find someone who does coachman work? Any help would be greatly appreciated in this area. I am replacing the stock steering wheel with a custom build wooden wheel. I am looking for someone to do leatherwork to replace all plastic housing located around steering wheel column. Along with doing upholstery for the middle console and shifting unit. I am having trouble finding individuals who specialize in this type of work. Any help would be muchly appreciated.

installed

Koni shocks w Racing Beat Springs= Much better.
EBC Ultimax Brake Rotors w Hawk Blue Pads= Slotted or drill is definitely the way to go.

Custom upholstery and leatherwork is going to require some local searching. I have seen stitched leather gauge hood covers for NBs but nothing for an NC yet. It may be out there.

Three years since the last post? Really?

OP, if you are still with us, if you are talking about the "plastic-leather" around the shifter and E-brake handle, there are vendors that already make real leather replacements. I could do a search and give you the link, but if you have given up after three years, why bother, right?
