Default hello all..

Hi there. I just purchased a 1994 m edition. Didnt know it was an m till i got it home.
needs paint and seats recovered. Plan to have that done in three weeks.
wanted to do a flat black or red.. but now that i have realised its an m edition i am having doubts.. might go with original.. .. this is my first miata and i am here to tell you. It is a blast to drive.. gf laughs at me laughing as we go around corners. Lol.. awesome ..
I will be needing a lot of help advice and guidance. From you all in the next few months. So my thanks and my apologies in advance

Congratulations and welcome! These things are a blast, good that your GF approves. My $.02 on the matter is that you should leave it as is. Not saying don't mod it, but don't change the color. Once you do you might as well not even consider it an M edition. There has been lots of discusion among Miata forums about how clean NAs are becoming harder to find, and prices are rising. An "M" is one of the few models that is sought after and stands a good chance of being worth more later on. Bear in mind, cars are a terrible investment, but later on to the right person an M will be worth lots more than a base model. 94-95 is also considered by many to be the best years. 1.8L engine and OBD1 make a good combination.

Welcome aboard, and

WelcOme to mfz we are full of guidance and knowledge around here, so if you seek input on a mod chances are we know exactly what your talking about.
Ps: if you go for a roll bar get a roll bar not a style bar.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new car. We have to see some pics of this lovely 94M! It sounds like you may be thinking about modding it, what are you goals: Street Queen, Sleeper, AutoX, kick *** track car, all the above?

Welcome. The three things I would look at first to modify on an otherwise good running stock Miata are brake pads, clutch, and shocks/springs. I guess you could add sway bars to that list as well.

And +1 on a real roll bar from Hard Dog or similar. Just look in their roll over pics gallery if you need a good reason why.

Thank you all,

@ dieselmiata, I have decided to maintain the original colour, thank you for ur advice. truthfully the fact that its an M doesnt mean a whole lot to me at this time but, knowing they only made three thousand or so makes me feel guilty at the thought of doing wot I wanted to originally as it surely wouldnt be an M. so Thanks for the advice and what is OBD1 ?? looked it up.. software?

@ Redturbo miata a rollbar is on the list.

@flying solo, Its my intent to speed it up a little, below 200, would be happy with 170 hp, want it to run on the road comfortably but speed.. love the speed but 50 to 60 mph?? hmm weak, 0 to 50 :-) awesome!! gonna have to learn the lingo. "Street Queen, Sleeper, AutoX, kick *** track car," lol.. gimme time

@ sixshooter, all the things u list are planned, so thank you.

just took some pics gimme a few moments to post
