Default Newbie Check-in

Hello to all, I love cars in general and have owned a 1947 Chevrolet PU, CJ7, Ford PUs, Fiat x/19(never got it to run), a 72 TR6(also a failed project), and a 76 MGB that I had to sell when we moved.

I had been looking at MGBs and Midgets but could not justify the asking price for what was being sold. A good friend suggested I buy a Miata and decided on my new car, a 1999 Mazda Miata. If need be I will work on my Miata, as I am a Diesel mechanic by trade and have worked automotive for as long as I can remember.

I intend to use my Miata just to go back and forth to work, maybe a trip to the coast or find some curvy road. OK All, looking forward to participating on this forum, take care and keep the shiny side up and the oily side down,
Ne2o

Welcome aboard! Miatas are easier to maintain than the classic Brit sports cars. By several magnitudes.

You will be able to enjoy more time behind the wheel than under the hood.

I'm selling an Austin Healey Sprite to a friend. He's putting Miata drivetrain parts in it so he can enjoy it without hassle. Can't say I blame him after owning it for many years.
