Nice NB and welcome!!
For low-mid 12 second slips, you will need a clutch for sure, tires that hook, and I'd also say at least 300whp. I actually wouldn't go with a 2560, I'd go bigger turbo like a 2871 or even a 3071. I'm thinking around 330whp is your hot number to those 1/4 mile times.
Get ready to spend $$$.
Standalone, turbo, clutch, injectors, manifold, exhaust, intercooler, BOV, plumbing, oil supply line, oil drain line, Rods, Pistons, Wide band O2 (Most important thing), and a few other items I forgot to mention.
Here's my recommendations:
Injectors: I would recommend Deatschwerks due to the bosch style. I would not run the old style RX7 PNP's or any other pintle type injector. You'll need at least 600cc injectors.
Standalone: DIYPNP
Clutch: FM Level 2
Manifold: If you're gonna drive it everyday, I would actually go with an FM or BEGI cast manifold. In fact, BEGI makes a cast manifold that has an external wastegate port on it.
I also know somebody who has a hotside setup for sale than includes that manifold and a genuine garrett GT3071 turbo. I think he has the external wastegate for it and the downpipe also.
I'd buy it, but I don't have the need for that much power.
Any questions or whatever, hit me up and I'll help you to the best of my knowledge.

I have a friend with an NA who's got the Begi s3 kit with the 2871r making something like 290-310hp and he runs a low 13-12.8 in the 1/4 on race tires.

Those numbers seem high from what I've seen on MT for the times I'm looking for, but that's just from a few threads I've looked at. More is better, I just don't want to destroy the tranny or anything.

Thirdgen, I've accounted for everything you listed in my build thread. I'm going to set the budget at 5500 and try to stick to that. Is there a reason you recommend going with cast? I was thinking about having someone local make me a tubular manifold and I plan on using an internally gated turbo. I was looking at a gt2860r, not a 25. I don't want to go too big and end up having a ton of lag so I was trying to stay out of 30s.

How much does your friend want for that stuff?

Mazduh, do you happen to know what his 60ft is? It just seems slow. I swear I remember seeing someone running better times than that with 290whp and a mediocre 60ft.

It's just not sacrificing much flow for very good reliability. Seems like any and all tubilars eventually crack unless you go with artech or absurdflow. Which you do have the budget for FYI.

I do already have a cast manifold I could use, I just wanted better flow really. If it's really not that much of a sacrifice then I'll scratch that off of my list and save some money, then just have someone make a downpipe for me. I don't have anything against saving money, I just want to do it right the first time, ya know? I don't want to get it all done and then have the manifold be a bottleneck.

Others might argue, but if you're goal is a 12 second quarter, I wouldn't worry about cast vs. tubular. Especially if you already have one. Which one? Greddy? FM? Begi? Tacotaco?

I honestly can't remember. I'll have to dig it out and take a look.

I contacted my buddy...he said $2,000 for the BEGI mani with external WG and Garrett GT3071 and downpipe. I think it's a steal, it's an entire hotside setup minus the oil suply and cooling lines. I think it's this manifold with a T3 flange.
http://www.bellengineering.net/produ...products_id=35
The turbo is a genuine garrett and when I rode in the car it was making over 400whp and running over 25 psi.
It was most likely the fastest car I ever rode in ever.
It would ---- all over my friends LS-1 vette that has a full exhaust with long tube headers and an intake and tune.
It would wipe it's *** in the 1/4 mile with my friends 1966 mustang GT 350H like it was a bone stock honda civic racing an '03 cobra.
Figure $2,000 for that, plus about $700 invested in a DIYPNP and another $300 for injectors. $400 for a clutch, $600 for an intercooler, BOV and all the plumbing and turbo cooling lines, and a wideband. Maybe another $1,000 in pistons, rods, engine misc stuff like gaskets and ----...and you have an easy 12 second car for around $5,000 in parts.
