yea, but its not the US governments job to pursue copyright infringement which is generally a civil crime.

As for kiddie ****, thats just a cop out the US government is trying to use. Which is a similar cop out the MPAA/RIAA would (and still does) use to get judges to agree with them about the legality of a website. Copyright infringment and kiddie **** are irrelevant issues (unless there is copyrighted kiddie ****)!

but yes, I totally understood what you were trying to say Adam, I am just playing devil's advocate.

I agree it's a cop out, I'm not defending our corporate run government.

But, I am for snuffing any and all avenues for Kiddie ****. Problem is, that requires filtering/censoring somewhere and when you start looking for trouble you find trouble.

I've purchased a ton of music. The only thing is I don't listen to the super popular stuff most of the time, so it's usually not 19.99 for a CD. I think usually I'm paying 3.99 for 10-12 songs. And I DON"T use anything apple related. Amazon, or smaller stuff for the small bands.

And that's the crux of the issue. Most albums are around 8 bucks to download. I have no problem doing that, but no way in hell I'm going to pay 20 bucks for a 40 year old album.

*disclaimer for feds watching. I did not download the album. I had a friend drop off the CD and copied it.

Considering Apple is involved in a huge e-book price fixing lawsuit right now, this surprises people??

I use pandora. ----'s free and installed on my phone so I can use it in the car. Anything I really like I either buy (basically small artists I like to support with actual money) or download illegitimately and hoard on an encrypted array. ---- you RIAA.

I am a frequent pandora user also, but it can get a bit repetitive and boring sometimes.
