Default need advice

My NA has after market rims that part of the finish is coming off. The tires that are on them are p185 60r 14. I am going to have to buy new tires anyway so what size rims would you all suggest I go with? The car will be a driver not a racer. What rims will fit as I have 4 rims off my daughters Eclipse but they look huge and not sure about the lug pattern. Also I saw in one thread where someone said something about just painting his rims, I could stay where I am on size if this will work. Thanks for putting up with all a
newbs questions.

theres this great product called plastidip, its like spray paint but easily removable you should look into that. in the mean time the wheel lug pattern on the miata is 4x100 and you want to be in the 14,15,16in wheel size.

There are plenty of choices for tires for the size wheels you have. There are even more if you go up to 15 inch.

There are plenty of choices in 15 inch with 4x100 lug pattern. Rota and Enkei (several styles available in good prices at Good-Win Racing), and the 6ul (at 949Racing) are some nice choices for reasonable money.

Well I love the look of my new wheels and tires but as someone warned me of runing the 16s I am feeling a lot more road bumps. I am running 32psi in the tires if I lower that to say 28 do you think it may soften the ride a little?
