what worries me is i only have zi-ex'es for my first 3 sessions.. the last session my friend is lending me his kumho xs'es.

Not a big deal really. It will feel pretty good going from all-seasons to sticky summers. but its not like going from sticky street tires to a wet tire like NT-01s.

hell from my experience, instructors said that tires like R888s and NT-01s aren't really much different from an RS3 or a star spec. they just use a less water friendly tread and use a stickier compound.

All-seasons will squeal a lot, so they might even be better for learning (I have had some people say that, but I haven't driven on all-seasons since I have had my volvo back in 2005).

I used all seasons on my R32 and they were fine. They howled alot, but that wasn't bad when first starting out. Maybe it's just me and my lack of talent, but I think your first event or two, you aren't going to be really pushing the envelope. Even if you do, it gives you a chance to dial in your finesse with your car.

Track, are you going to reuse your headlights or go with +01 lamps using the new front end? Were you lucky enough to find a bumper in your color?

I agree, tbh my first event I barely even bedded my XP8s in. all I ended up doing was wearing the ---- out of tires with bad turn in and overcorrection and a bunch of no-no ---- lol.

I gotta say though, having a decent set of rubber under you really helps you get an idea of the g-forces you will feel under braking.

Yes, I have a set of 01+ headlights, so I will switching over to those. I bought the 01+ headlights, but all I am going to do is run a switch for each to the interior and remove the relays and the rest of the stalk crap on that side along with a ton of other wiring. Unfortunately, its not the same body cooler. I got a black bumper and my car is Emerald green, but its not too bad off. I guess I could get a black hood and a black trunk and rear bumper an call it a color scheme of sorts? haha

I don't really know why I got the 01+ headlights. I actually bought them last year, before I had crossed threshold of making this a track car. they really aren't needed unless I plan to use my lights on track and thats unlikely since most HPDE events end by 5ish at the latest (Chin runs to 6 sometimes I think). I may just run my 99 headlights and perhaps mess around with making a grill in-place and running a short intake to it?

*shrug* its a few weeks down the road for me. Currently, I have put getting this Van onto the top of my priority list, then getting the oil cooler and I will put in the bumper along with the radiator+oil cooler ducting.

I plan to try and reuse my 00. Someone, somewhere someone said it could be done once. I too have emerald mica and got a nice white/primer bumper, and red side skirts. I have to find a place to paint them as I already feel stupid with my red Corbeau seats.

I jumped on the group buy for trackspeed's brake ducting kit ealier and intend to use the fog light holes for the NACA ducts.

Just found out the cause of some suspension woes that I was getting recently. My sway bar was binding for some reason. Not sure what happened exactly, but the bracket was much tighter than when I first put it. Fixed now, so hopefully that understeer I have been experiencing for the last ~month goes away.

That'll do it! btw, I think I found my issue as well. Im not sure though. the swaybar pulled the bushing out of the endlink

Thing is that I dont know whether this happened before RA or after.
