Canada or the USA - Where to live?

In your opinion, which is better?

Base it on whatever reasoning, just post that reasoning :)

USA USA USA!

I went to Whistler BC for my honeymoon earlier this year, and the province has a ridiculous alcohol tax.

I'd have to live in Canada to make an opinion. I love Pennsylvania. NY is nice too. I've been to Canada and I thought it was beautiful, but like I said, experience is the only way to make an appropriate answer.

Never met a Canadian I didn't like, except.....

Why do Canadians have to separate themselves from yankees? Every time I travel, canadians always make a point to state that their Canadian, and certainly NOT American. Its like the pride of the country is based on the fact they are not American.

In contrast, all the brits I've known just state that they are the best at everything, and invented it first. They don't really care what nationality you are.

Well, i haven't traveled much in my life, never even been on a plane. But the elders around here tell me that as long as you say you are Canadian in a foreign country you are safer than saying you are American. That Americans aren't very well liked because of their military occupations etc etc.

If it is true or not, not sure. I tell people i'm from Nigeria.

Canadians can be pretty laid back and likeable, but not much different than some Americans. There is also a vast amount of douchebaggery in Canada as I am sure there is in the USA.

Good news is that I am Canadian and so is K1E1V1E1N so right there the party is started on a good note. :D

How come you voted that the USA is better then Canada Rick, I mean it is apart from the health care bit, but...

I think its good thinking where you come from is the best otherwise your never going to be happy and you will always want to leave.
