How to get data from mk1 cluster circuit board into code?
I am aiming to build a digital cluster, my original approach was going to be to to plug a obd cable into the obd2 port and read the data on a raspberry pi and display the values on a screen in the dash. However after doing more research it seems reading the data from the circuit board of the instruments cluster would be a better and more easy to replicate solution. However I have no experience in electronics, So could someone please tell me how I can read the values from the circuit board and then get them into values I can code with on my raspberry pi.
I have found these images online and looking at the circuit board itself I can see where to get the values from im just no sure how to get them into something I can code with. From what ive seen on some forums apparently I will need a Digital To Analogue converter to convert the electrical signals into values, then pass them to the raspberry pi, read them with code, then I can do whatever I want with them im just not sure of how to actually do that, will I have to weld something? What ADC do I need to buy? how does that plug into the raspberry pi? how does the raspberry pi get access to / read the values from the ADC? etc etc https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachmen...8a5bae70551b&= https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachmen...d3819ff74e3b&= |
