How-To: Remove Wheel locks, rounded lugs, etc

Just want to share a quick and dirty solution to the wheel locks with no key, or broken lug studs problem that crops up every now and then. The solution is really simple, knowing the size of the lug/wheel lock you get a socket that is too small to hammer over it (one that is close though).

1) Rough up the inside of the socket so its got some grip power. I used a grinding stone bit on a dremel.
2) Get a metal cutting wheel for the dremel and cut 4 notches in the socket. Make sure they are nice and long so you can give the socket a chance to fit over.
3) hammer on with a deadblow to get start
4) HULK smash that ---- on with a good ol' metal claw hammer.
5) put socket on, remove offending lug/lock.

You can see where the socket bit ends in this picture, so you can get a reference for how deep my cuts are. about 1/3 of the way down. BTW, this completely removed my circle locking lugs, I would show you pics of the damn locks on it, but well...they are gone to wheel lock hell now.
