Question Oil Pan Drain Plug

So I recently aquired a 1995 Mazda Miata MX5. The Engine is a DOHC 16 Valve 1840 CC. The car has been dripping oil and from what I can tell it's dripping from the drain plug on the oil pan. Various articles mention that a special washer is required when changing the oil and it does not look like thats there. It would appear to be a washer of a different type. So my question is what are the specific requirements regarding this washer and are they obtainable at a parts store or do I need to go to a Mazda dealer? Any other advice on this topic would be appreicated.
Thanks!

Get a pack of plastic oil plug washers from the auto parts store for a couple of bucks and pick out a good one. It's that easy.
