HID's

Ok two things. One. Does anyone know where I can get a HID kit for a 96. And two. Does anyone have any pics of what the light patter would look like from our big bulbs and also any pics of what the car looks like with them turned on? Iv looked around on a few different sites and google and can't REALY find any pics.

Don't let Doppleganger know you are planning on using HIDs without a projector type lens. He will go Bruce Lee on you.

The stock type lenses are shaped poorly for the use of a HID bulb and usually end up with the bulb out of the point of focus for the lens. If you do it be sure to get the forward/rearward location correct for the bulb to give you the proper light focus. Otherwise you will end up with results like many low budget HID swaps on the street that shine everywhere but the ground and put glare right in everybody's eyes.

If you do it, do it well and be proud of the results.

I don't REALY Care what kinda lenses I use. If I have to use projector lenses for better results I'm fine with that.

if used with e-codes, there is still some glare but it is kept to a minimum. the cut-off isnt actually that bad either. but if used if regular reflective houses, i will offer no more help!

Whatever you do, please use projectors.

Where can I buy projectors for a 96 a did a google search and it did REALY bring up anything

Custom application, not sure there is anything really aftermarket. I found this pretty quickly, not sure how legit it is. On m.net there is a few kits for the NB (I think at least) that are no longer for sale.

Now the fun part, DIY:

It will take some work, as that thread suggest you will have have to take some measurements figure out the space you have to work with and then find a projector that fits it. Then custom make a mount, figure out the wiring (shouldn't be bad, this is were you buy a "kit" and fit it with the projector), and put it all together. I am oversimplifying and leaving out quiet a bit of details...but I am not the one doing this, I hope this sets you on the correct path for HID goodness.

here is another retrofit on an NB. The ideas are the same, just got a different shape and size light:

This thread....I see'd it....

For a NA, personally, I'd get the e-codes and some higher wattage plain halogen bulbs (80w+) and some decent fog lights.
