Film Fest @ Stoly's: 10/01/11
 

Thought I'd just jump right in and invite some total strangers to my house... We've been doing a Film Fest all summer and are watching all the Fast & Furious films on our garage door and the last Film Fest for 2011 is scheduled for 10/01/11. We're planning on starting it back up in May of 2012 with some other get togethers between now and then.

This is a 21+ get together and everyone is welcome to come hang out and meet some new people. We usually have 10-20 people show up and we have plenty of room for people to crash out so no need to drink and drive. Breakfast is always served up for the survivors.

People typically start showing up early afternoon and dinner is usually around 6 or 7 and the film starts around 9. We also have a dart board that usually has a game going. After the film we go back to grazing and generally just hanging out. A typical supply for the weekend includes...

Again, everyone is welcome. We're a pretty laid back group that enjoys hanging out and meeting new people. Group has expanded to beyond Miatas so don't feel like you have to have a Miata to attend and feel free to invite non-Miata friends as well.

I could be down! That weekend looks free as of right now. So what is the last F&F movie...5? I have only seen the first one.

Fast & Furious (fourth one) and possible double-feature showing the fifth one. Should also mention that you don't need to bring anything other than yourselves and maybe a lawn chair and a sleeping bag... we have several hide-a-beds and air matresses to crash out on.

Menu this time around will be a down south BBQ with slow roasted pork roasts and a ton of sides and sauces.

I heartily endorse outdoor movie gatherings! Projectors rock :) I like doing the same myself when it is warm enough here.

But by god man, invest in a white king size bedsheet or something to put on that door! :D

Road Trip? How much gas mola do you have? My car or yours?

We did have a guy fly out from NJ for the July Film Fest so don't let the distance decide for you... :) More than welcome to fly out and have some fun in SAT.

haha, Are you serious? I don't think my car will work, unfortunately with all the rain I can't drill my new seat mount adapters so I only have one seat in my car right now.

I'll pick you up from the airport if you fly out lars!
