As a representative of the 36-45 demographic, upon joining my regional Miata club, I lowered the youngest member age by two years.

For its title, your poll may be slightly skewed...

What!? This is going to be screwed cause old people don't have internet! LOL.

Seriously... It's gotta be like some 70% of miata owners are older couples who's kids are moved out of the house and take road trips with their style bars and cv radios.

It's not that old people don't have internet - they just don't join and participate in online communitites. My local Miata club is the same way - heavily weighted towards a retired crowd, none of whom I have ever seen online.

The numbers here have got to be skewed because I would guess the majority of Miata owners are not forum members. It's just a guess - no way to know unless we somehow compared forum member registeries (reducing like user names) to the number of legal Miatas in the US.

Can you IMAGINE 100% participation, i.e. every owner actively participated in an online Miata forum? Average age would definitely be different. Ask the same question here, Clubroadster & Miata.net and I'll bet we get three different answers.

I dont disagree, BUT... I do wonder how many of the younger crowd that also dont participate in clubs but do drive miatas due to , cost, access to parts and ease of modification.... I am wondering if its a bit higher of a percentage. lets face it , its a lot less than a wrx sti

my local club is as said above a group of older people, that being said we host local autocrosses and that gets the younger crowd( like myself) active in the club.
