Bought with no title
 

Not sure where to post this but hopefully someone can help! So my boyfriend bought a 96 miata from a friend who bought it from someone else. We have a bill of sale and know it isnt stolen (got pulled over recently and wasn't reported) but we dont know who the original owner is. I have looked around for ways to get the title but we're always short of one of the requirements. Any suggestions?
