I have a 1996 black Miata MX-5 for sale $4000. I am the third owner. It is extremely fun to drive, so engaging, yet so cheap to maintain and run. Unfortunately, I will be moving out of town pretty soon so I need a bigger car for moving purposes. I will try to be as much detail and upfront as possible. Feel free to text me at 714-837-9078. Pros:
- Mileage ~98,000 (will go up as this is my daily car)
- Engine - 1.8L non-turbo running strong with no issue
- 5 speed MT run silky smooth with no grinding or any other issues
- MPG ~ 31-33 if run gently 1800-3000 rpm. If you have too much fun (~4000 rpm around mountain road), you get about 25-28 mpg
- OEM black hardtop in excellent condition inside and out (this is getting harder to find everyday. You can easily pay $1200+ on it alone). The hardtop also has defrost wire which is not in every OEM. I just haven't had the time to install the defrost cable into the car
- Hard Dog roll bar with leather wrap (not the stylish one, this one helps to improve body rigidity overall and in crash case) - worth at least $200+
- New Pioneer head-unit and speakers with bluetooth are installed a few months ago ($100+)
- No leaks
- OEM wheels. These are not the nicest one out there but they are one of the lightest out there
- AC and heater are running strong
- Alignment was done 5 months ago
- 4 tires still have plenty of treads left
- All new spark plugs and plug wires
- Car cover is included to store in winter time

Cons: (all cosmetic, no mechanical or handling issue)
- The paint on the car can get some love. Exterior 7/10. Especially the clear coat on the trunk and driver side (5/10)
- There is a few dings, scratch from the 20+ years
- There is a small rust which is common for old car in snow area.
- The interior has a small crack on the dashboard due to the age. This will make rattle sound when drives in low rpm. The door cushion panel inside is a bit loose due to the installation of the speaker
- The soft top has a little tear. If you intend to use the soft top alone, I would replace a new one.
- The roll bar leather has a little tear and a tiny bit of rust (barely noticeable)
- The car is missing 2 side latches for the hardtop. The latches on the hardtop are there but the latches on the car are there. They sell these on ebay for $30-70 a pair. The hardtop is still holding in place with front and rear latches so you don't have to install this if you don't want to.

The car is pretty much in stock form with no modification that I know of. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. I can also sell the car without the hardtop for $3000.

Although I listed lots of cons, you must drive the car to appreciate it. Most of the cons are cosmetic and does not affect the superb handling and mechanic of this car. Open to trade for WRX/STI or GTI or CIVIC Hatchback.
