Default pcv valve cover on underside of valve cover

wanted to replace my valve cover gasket and paint my cover, in the process, ripped the grommet for the pcv. it was hard to get out and fell into the hole. so i took the cover off the underside. i have to reseal that ? or is there a gasket i have to replace. OR is it ok to just screw back on.. i opened a can of worms i wasent trying to open. HELP! lol
