Default Broke Thermostat Housing

Can this be welded back on? if not what is fix?
I would guess it's aluminum cast.

No, and it's not worth the effort. A used one can be had for quite cheap and brand new is only about 50 bucks. Installing a new one would be a LOT less work than trying to weld cast aluminum.

Certainly not worth welding. Used one's are quite plentiful, and a lot cheaper.

yea, I was going to say, if you are not interested in tackling a reroute, you can buy this neck from anyone who has recently done one for cheap.

Note, you may have to remove the timing plate which will require you to redo the timing belt.

Track I am hacking-in with my Dremel. Saw it done on "the other" Miata forum. hahahaha
