I got a 96 convertable off of craigs list and it had a few issues but i thought i could fix them real cheap. Thought it would be a good way to learn how to fix a car.

My battery was draining, it would take over 24 hours before it would be dead. I pulled the room fuse (10A) and this seemed to solve the problem. I've been driving it for over a week now and no issue. I looked up the wireing diagrams and was wondering if anyone had any avdvice.

The diagrams show that it goes to:
Engine Controls
Transmission Controls (but its a manual not automatic)
Sound Systems
Interior Lighting (The switch was off but light doesn't work anyway)
Starting/Charging
Trunk Compartment Lighting (96 only)(Light doesn't work either)
Ignition Key Reminder Switch

(might have missed something but i think that's it...)

The other issue was:
I fixed the windows as they wouldn't roll up but would roll down. A little WD40 i cleaned the switches and they work now. Extreemly slowly but they work.

Mine was the trunk light that was doing it. The mercury switch was not working correctly.

This is kinda what i was looking for! I had a feeling that it might have been that... It was only in the 96 year... so maybe not the best designed.
