Kind of related but if you have that much in the fenders, you may have some goodies in your blower motor. There was a lot more than this before the photo and being that it's connected to the heater core, that was plastered with debris in the little radiator fins (if you will) as well.

If ya track it,

You would be suprised or may be not, at the amount of rubber that get caught in that little area under the guards, check it and clean it ( less weight)

i just broke all of the bolts on the bottom of the fender trying to clean it out. all the crap came out in a dust cloud though. now i have to figure out how to get whats left of the old bolts out. :vash:

dieselmiata 02-25-2012 08:14 PM

In order of use: Center punch, small drill bit, larger drill bit, machinists scribe, 8 x 1.5 tap to clean the threads up, then new bolt with antisieze. I had to do all 4 on my 95.

you could try a tap out thing, or a left handed drill bit.

dieselmiata 02-25-2012 08:41 PM

It's worth a shot, but in my experience if the bolt is seized enough to break, the tap out will break as well.
