Headlight Ideas?
2 Attachment(s)
Well here’s my old beater 93 NA that I picked up just for the hardtop. It runs but needs a radiator and some obvious body work. It was hit high in the front above the inner bumper and took out both flip-up headlight assemblies. So, I plan on pulling the bumper cover off and gorilla gluing it back together to see if I can make it look okay for the time being.
To me the car is too good to part out, I think it will make somebody a good little zoom around. So, I’m thinking I’ll keep it a little while and tinker with it to get it back street worthy. But it’s going to need some headlights and I’m not going to spend any money on an aftermarket kit. So… if this were your project car, what would you do for “low dollar” headlights hmm? |
are you good at fabricating stuff? look at the halogen lights at like advance auto.

Why aren't yo replacing with junk yard pop ups? If you're not for whatever reason, I would buy some bulbs, make a bracket, and then fab a housing around it so it looks like the stock ones only up all the time.

Keep the idea's coming tho, right now I'm still in the process of beating the front raidiator support and passenger fender back into shape with a ball peen hammer. :sad2: |

The least expensive choice would be to go back with the stock set mentioned earlier. Another option would be to use one of the low profile dual headlight kits that exist. This is not cheap as the are about $500.00 plus,

I'm in the process of making another headlight set up . Using some Hella rectangle fog lights and i'm going to look for some mini projectors to retro fit into them. My bracket is going to look like the lights that have the plexi-glass over them but i'll be keeping my headlight lid just mounting the lights so i can keep them as low as possible .
I'll shot some pics tomorrow right now its in like 4 pieces just need to put them together . I also need to order a bulb for them to use in the mean time . |

Looks good, how bright are the lights?
|
Right now there about as bright as the factory headlights . I'm ordering some 4300k HIDs and projectors to make up for it . There going to be Hi/Lo set up so it should make for better lighting .
