notchy shifter

OK, cpl of months ago i redid the shifter and replaced the oil. However it didnt improve a thing.. was better before.

now i have to search and fight for the gears and reverse is a B**** to find. Really thought it would smooth out, it hasn't and I dont believe it will.

used Mobile One synth LS gear oil. 75w-90

any suggestions.

Did you replace the fear oil in both the trans and the shifter area?

sirbrit 06-18-2012 08:41 PM

No. Just in the turret

PS: the auto parts stores will have 2 different weights recommended for the trans. ones for warmer climates and the other is for transmissions that get driven in sub 40 degree weather. the one one thats for warmers can be really difficult in the mornings but once it warms up its good. something to think about.

Synthetic gear oil is almost magic in our transmissions.
