Thanks anyway, it was worth a shot. I found a nice clean 92 in Austin I'm trying to buy. If the guy calls me back I'll let you know!

Get with Tasty Danish by PM. He's parting out a running car or at least a rolling chassis.

personally if it were me i would not own two cars that are both miata's
i would and have owned just one miata but not both my cars miata's
they just aren't very practical
my winter beater is a 90 four door accord
i would sell or strip your current car and get something more practical in its place
but thats just me
im not trying to tell you what to do just trying to give you suggestions

and if i had known your situation a couple of months ago i could have provided you with a rear clip as well
i live in elkhart IN about 2 hours east of you
when i bought my parts car the guy was going to give me a rear half of the body as well (that was the wrecked beyond repair part of the car) but seeing as how the car had no title and i intended on stripping it for parts i told him i had no use for it (and it was a 95)

plus i would had to have borrowed a truck to get it home the one and a half hour drive

we use salt here too
and last winter my 96 ford contour threw a rod in feburary (btw dont buy a contour, they have wiring issues and are a PITA to work on)
i had little choice but to scrap the ford and use the money to buy snow tires for the miata
at my local top quality car wash i signed up for unlimited car washes
$30 a month for up to one car wash a day with underbody
i litterally washed the miata everyday monday-friday for the rest of the season

I appreciate it, but I just picked up a nice red 92 and wil be bringing it home soon. I'm just gonna use the 95 as the winter beater, but that doesn't mean I won't try to prevent her from dying. I gave it a nice undercoat today, and will likely strip her down and try the rustoleum paint job once the snow melts next year.

Probably wouldn't have been worth while if you weren't local. It's a rolling chassis.
