$2k for a 6spd Miata transmission is WAY too high, even for low low miles. Go look at http://www.car-part.com/ to find ones in your local area. The most I would be spending would be $800-$900.

I'm not talking about any 6spd miata transmission. I'm referring to the Mazdaspeed one specifically.

Gotcha, even then the low mileage ones are popping up for 1k-1.4k but there's definitely a lot less of them in the results.

I don't think the Mazdaspeed transmissions have enough "specialness" to warrant anything over $1k. Something like shot-peened gears or something...that no one has really ever confirmed nor has shown to be any stronger than any other 6spd transmission. I really want to punch the sellers who think some MSM parts are worth 2-4x the price of "normal" NB parts.

I've spun my msm a couple of times on runs too. Idk why, but it seems like the NCs that show up spin out ALOT
