Well, you'd have it import it from Europe.

Wait a second...I'm unsure what I'm reading here. Wasn't there actually a '98 NB made, but not imported to America? This would mean that some people are like "heh heh, they never made a '98 NB." Others are, "Yeah I don't want to go to Europe to get an NB". I don't get it. Was there actually a '98 NB Miata made in the world?
If so, and it looked like this:

I'd trade my shitbox in on one.

There was a 98 NB, and it looks no different than any other NB. The picture you have is of the Coupe concept that was only offered in Japan, and in VERY small numbers. (>50 I believe)

The 98 was not sold in the U.S. therefore most believe it does not exist. Or that it is special/better in some way and thats why it wasn't sold here.

Kind of like how the fanbois get fired up when you whisper "Skyline."

I knew that photo I posted was an NB Coupe. I just think NB coupes are hot ----, that's all. Thanks for the info about the genuine '98 NB, it really sheds some light on the mystery.

The 98' wasn't ready to be sold here on time for some reason. Since it came out late, marketing decided to call it a 99'. I think it was available in March of 98'.

For some reason the European ones were ready in time and sold as a 98'.

I think the door tag on my car says 8/98, I'd have to look again. Either way, it's titled as a '99.
