Horn won't quit..
Horn switch in the steering wheel checks good.
Relay checks good. Ground applied to control circuit in relay socket will blow the horn as it should. Insert the relay - blow the horn and it won't stop blowing. Schematic shows a clock spring in between the horn button and the relay. What is this? What does it do and where is it located? Any suggestions? Many thanks... |
I'm not sure on the spring. It's been awhile since I took my steering wheel off and replaced with a quick release hub.
Sorry. But I might have some parts for you. |
The "clock spring" is shown in the circuit between the horn button and the relay. Apparently it carries the ground signal.
The wiring diagram refers to the wire as NEC where it connects to the green/orange relay wire I can't find any reference to NEC either. Thanks sixshooter... |
