What is the best fluid to use in my 2001 Mazda Miata - 6 speed manual.

I like, along with many others, the Ford Motorcraft fluid.


Motorcraft MTX-75 IB5 transmission fluid XT-M5-QS If that link works, it should be a good price. If not, try Amazon or your local Ford dealer.


It's expensive, but it's not something that's changed often.

 

Go with Motorcraft. You won't be disappointed.

 

For some reason the Motorcraft fluid listed above just works well.

I'm using Shockproof in my 5 speed right now but the 5's and 6's seem to have some different needs.
