What did you do to your NB today?
This thread has had success on other Miata sites, and I feel like it's a good way to see how and what other Miata owners are doing.
I'll start, I washed her, waxed her, cleaned out the engine, removed the wheels and cleaned them entirely, and then cleaned the interior. She looks incredible! |
I pushed the Miata out of the garage to put my kayak in the garage and JB weld a crack in it. Then I started the Miata up a few hours later and drove it back in the garage and noticed how filthy it was.

:sigh: Walked past it in the shop today. Haven't touched it in three months. That said, I just invited a guy over on Friday to help him install his narrowed 8.8 into his FB RX7. He doesn't have a place to work on it and has been doing it outside in this 100* heat. Plus, he doesn't have a welder. He got the car two months ago and it will be running by the end of this month. I guess I might as well help someone that has the drive at the moment.

Got the parts I need to finally install my Pioneer head unit (this will be the unit's 4th home since 2003), it will be nice to get rid of the Bose head unit and have mp3 and satellite radio functionality again. I'll also be glad not to have to carry CDs around anymore.

That's funny about Pioneer head units. I had one that went through 2 S-10's, then my Silverado until I upgraded to a better Pioneer...then it went into a Ford F150 that I totalled. So 4 vehicles, 1 head unit. Worked great, but sometimes when it was really cold out it wouldn't eject the cd all the way. I'd have to grip the edge of it with my finger nails and pull it out.

Yep, I've never had a single issue with this one. It's a DVD unit with a flip out screen, which might sound silly, but it was a gift from a good friend and holds its value as such and I'll keep using it until it dies an unrepairable death. I'll take an older Pioneer (or Rockford Fosgate) unit over 99% of the stuff sold today.
