Can you rivet? Would you feel comfortable taking off a lot of the rubber bits that keep water out of the car? Are you ok with taking the seats out so you have more room to work? Would you like to tie up most of a day to refit a new top? Would you rather do that then pay someone between $350 to $700 to do it for you?

If the answers are yes to these questions, then there are videos on line and web sites that can guide you. The manufacturers expect that you will have a professional install your new top. Some of the companies even have lists of approved installers.

Do some research online and then decide.

I spent a lot of time yesterday searching for online videos or instructions on replacing the top, but everything seemed to be oriented to earlier iterations of the Miata. Can you supply the URLs of any relevant sites you have come across?
