Central NY checking in!

I bought my Miata on December 4, and I put it in my garage to keep it safe from 90,000 tons of road salt. After keeping the car sitting under the cover and jacked into the battery tender for over three months, winter grabbed its hat and hit the door, and was it ever worth the wait!
2000 LS, Evolution Orange, 125k North Carolina miles, $4700. It needed a new antenna mast and radiator. That and a clay bar gave me this: https://www.miataforumz.com/attachme...ine=1332862958 https://www.miataforumz.com/attachme...ine=1332862958 The fake plates are snagged from a local club; I've driven exclusively Subarus for 12 years prior to this one! The local autocross season starts April 22... I can hardly wait! Nice car, like the color. Do you happen to be a machinist? It's good too see someone else that's into fabrication.

I'm not a machinist by trade; I'm a designer, but machine tools and wrenches aren't alien to me. Still, any personal designs (usually less crude than the stick-with-holes above) are typically cut by my boss - he's got a full shop at home, and there are few things that he'd rather do than make a drawing real.
The color has gotten a lot of compliments, and the funny bit about that is it had absolutely no influence on my purchase! Features, condition and price were spot on, and it just happened to be orange. :) Thanks for the welcome; I'll be around! |
welcome! nice clean nb :)
