New to the miata scene
Hi my name is DJ, I am a new miata owner and loving the car so far. Thing is a lot of fun to drive. Been wanting to do a ls1 in a miata since my friend bought his miata last year. I was at work a few weekes ago and saw an add on craigslist for a 1990 with clear green tag, figured i would call on it... ended up being an awesome deal. I paid $1500 bucks for it and and have gotten several offers at 5k and 6k. Car has 174k miles and no issues what-so-ever. Really looking forward to tearing it down and building a BEAST. I am also new to forum sites so please bear with me I'm sure it will take me a bit to get the hang of things.
Thank you. I will upload some pictures when I get some light outside, i have a few phone ones in low light. |

Welcome to the site DJ! For a 1990 that paint seems to be in good shape!
So the plan is to do an LS1 or is that more of a "dream"? |

Haha yeah it was an Ou emblem, I ripped it off the car right after that picture. I believe the car has been repainted it is too nice for factory. The ls1 is reality that is the only reason I purchased the car I'm just getting my fun out of it now before ripping into it. I've looked through a lot of the builds and send a Congrats out to everyone's projects looking good. Really looking toward to some help on my build. Nice to meet everyone.

It was an ou sticker. I'm wanting to get as close to 450 as I can. I'm sure I'm gonna need some extra meat under it to keep some sort of grip.

Looking forward to your build thread. Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new purchase.

Welcome to here! As forums go, this is a really friendly/mild one so you should be just fine. A lot of the v8 conversion parts are pricey but well made. DIY requires some fab work. So you need skills or cash but an LSx motor looks completely factory when done right. V8Roadsters is local to me and their stuff looks amazing.
