Well, my name is Josh. I am not new to Miatas but this is my first time having one. It's a 1994 Leguna Blue w/ Hard top. Modifications as of right now are Koni Orange Shocks, FM front sway, Hard Dog Fat Boy Roll Bar, and it currently has Falken Azenis on it.

I'm involved with the ETRSCCA Solo II crowd and am a regular at that curvy little section on HWY 129.

I don't have super major plans for the car. I'd like to fix the few small things wrong with it. I currently have 15x8 TRM C1 wheels with pixi dust tires (195 Toyo R1Rs) that I will use in Autocross to run in STR also looking for some used FM springs for temp use. My biggest plans are to go up to 15x9 6ULs with 225 RS3s or the new BFG that seems to be getting a lot of attention and getting AST Xida Club Sport coilovers.

I came from the Honda world still currently own 2 CRXs one that is full blown race car and the other is a stockish HF. Most likely selling the HF and have been considering parting out the race car since I got the Miata but I'm not sure if I will go that far.

I am very happy to be a part of the Miata community now

Welcome to the forum. I get up to Road Atlanta from time to time. Any chance you will ever end up doing a trackday there?

The Xidas are supposed to be incredible. Any plans for brake or power upgrades?

Sooner or later I will be up there for a track day. My old roommate had the Club Sports on his car and they were amazing. Co-drove with him at an autocross with his 15x9 6ULS with RS3s and the grip was unreal. No plans for power anytime soon. HP+ pads in the front and HPS in the rear are my only real plans for brakes anytime soon.

I've had the HP+ and the HPS. The HPS was so close to stock there was no point in having them. The HP+ had more bite and fade resistance but dust was increased (not that I cared). I run the Hawk Blue now. They occasionally squeak but don't fade at twice stock horsepower at the track. They really don't give me issues on the street as I was led to believe they might. Probably overkill for you but they work well.

Hmm, I'll have to look into them. The lack of brake fade would be very nice at the gap.

You must follow the bedding-in procedure with performance pads. Don't forget that until performance pads are bedded-in they will fade easily. All of them.

I've experience that with standard pads also.

Clean looking car! I'm glad to see you have a hard top and a roll bar. It looks good.
