Greetings Folks....my name is Tone and I live in Atlanta GA (originally from Northern Virginia). My father a couple of years ago gave me his 1995 Mazda Miata Roadster. It's Merlot in color, with removeable hard top, interior style bar, all all else with stock stuff on it. I wanted to find a place where I could get the "real" deal with advice with folks who know the car well so I did some trolling on the internetz found this cool place. I really hope to learn alot at this forum so thank you in advance for allowing me to join.

Well my current plans are:

First off, I'm about to buy some Adjustable Sport Shocks by Koni and get some new 16' rims that I have my eye on.

Looking forward to getting the new shocks and wheels on the ride. :cool:

15" is usually best for the Miata performance. But if you like the style, and don't mind the extra weight go for it :D

I have some Koni Yellow adjustables that are taking up space if you haven't already found ones you want. I would personally gravitate toward the Bilstein shocks with the Hard S or Spec Miata valving if it were me. They are about ~115 each new and will work well with stock springs or much higher rate springs if you want to drive in a more spirited fashion on sticky tires.

Thanks man! Sorry it took me a minute to come back to this as life got in the way ,but I ended up getting the yellow Koni adjustables. I also ended up getting 16x7 rims instead of 17 and I am very happy with what I got so far. Gonna get some pics and post them.

Belated welcome to the forum! Glad you didn't go with 17s, on a tiny car, the 17s really kill acceleration and breaking distance. Once the car's good and warmed up, don't be afraid to get the engine in the 4-7k RPM range, it really comes alive and you'll see why people stick to the lighter weight wheels.

The Koni yellows can be a bit harsh riding compared to some other choices, depending upon your goals.
