I have a red 1990 miata with a 1.8 swap. I have a few mods. In the future I plan on going with a turbo setup, either pieced together from parts off craigslist, or possibly the BEGi turbo kit. We shall see...

welcome Ared, since you live so close to CMP I would encourage you to join me for a track event!! check the link in my sig for details. THSCC is a great organization and very friendly. plus CMP is fun track, especially in the miata (think carousel)!

Thanks for the welcome. I've been to cmp before with the scrscca for the autocrosses they had this year, and I went to spectate with Panic motorsports at the event that happened this weekend. But I've never done an actual pdx/track day.

I have a barely acceptable ebay roll bar. But at least it's not a style bar. I'm trying to obtain a hard dog roll bar from a friend. We will see how that works out.

well, I can get you a $25 discount if you do. I can also help you with any prep work (I suggest you get front brakes at the very least) if you got questions. I promise you it will be THE best mod for your miata per dollar amount!

Plus you learn something new

Upgraded pads and fresh brake fluid are going to be important. Add a roll bar that meets specs and you are in. Unless you are too tall for the roll bar like me. I had to bolt racing seats to the floor to get under.

Good luck.
