My buddy sold a clean red '88 Targa with a built engine and $$$ suspension for 14k last year in Atlanta. Cast a wider net.

All convertable 911 and the targas are just so ugly compared to the lines of the hardtop cars. That RS is pure sexy time.

Bit dated for me. There are certainly some nice ones on eBay for cheap cheap.

I guess if i was spending 25 in that year range I would really need to consider something like this

2002 Porsche 911 Carrera Coup

And if im consider that age of car and what i get for the price, i certainly would need to check out this

2003 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra Convertible

Second is the way you sit in the car; in the miata you really sit "in" the car, almost like a cockpit. in the mustang you more sit "on" the car. Granted, I noticed this after moving my dads car and when I lowered the seating position it did feel a good bit better. Last time I drove the car I didn't think the handling was that bad, but then again I was DD'ing a pickup at the time so I didn't have anything to compare it to.

I know you said the C5 was a bit dated but...

My dad is getting old nowadays, he's looking into "touring" cars. He needs that 93 RS, NOW!

Realisticly though, price needs to be closer to $20k instead of $30k. I told him c5 z06! Comfortable enough on longer rides(compared to a miata). Decent mileage on the highway. Some trunk space (compared to a miata).

I never really liked the slant nose, I like the famous round high-light design too much.

Saw one of these sitting outside the local "Pretzel Factory". It was this color too. I have never seen one in person, but thought it was hot ----.

I really like that car a lot. I told my wife that if I had a stupid amount of money, I'd sell the miata and buy one of those. She said, "yeah right, you'd LSx the miata and keep it, don't talk so dumb."
