Ok, I just turned 30 and the whole car thing is just getting too mellow for me. I have been riding dirtbikes since I was like 6 and have been hill climbing with my friends for a while. I think dirtbikes are my true passion and I always wanted to do competition, but motocross isn't for me. What do you guys think about this video? This hill climb is about 1 hour from my house. Start the video at 1:10. I mean, how could this not scream pure adrenaline? From a dead stop to the top of a hill in about 12 seconds on a nitromethane fed bike with an entended swingarm that wants to throw you back down the hill...pure BALLS.

I love watching those hill climb races. I want to go to the big hill climb they have once a year in Montana. Bad Ass.

Autocross is boring, really boring.

I like the ones where they fall and get mangled better.

If you tried it, it will make your ass pucker with shear fear. I have done some motorcycle hill climbing with a stockish bike, and it was very thrilling. Consequences of not making it to the top can be high.

I prefer sliding down a hill on a board at 50mph going nearly straight down.

Hill climbing is like that trashy girl down the street. Yeah, you don't want all your friends knowing you are loving it, but you know you are loving it.

yes Autocross is boring.

Personally, I went out to the autocross expecting something spectacular, but I found it to be really boring compared to HPDE. Not only was it boring, but it was completely backwards. its odd point-to-point driving, with ridiculously early turn in and some harry lift-throttle oversteer in those chicago boxes.
And that was the good part!

The really shitter was sitting out in 95* weather as the flagger for easily 45 minutes and only driving for a total of 5 minutes. Hell, i would rather leave early and have my times DNF'd instead.

Or better yet, spend my money wisely and take it to the track! You can't dump cars as a hobby before doing a track event.
