Most students in Canada are wondering how they can afford a bus pass or a bike to get them to school at this time of year but not this group of B.C. young'uns. No no, the cheapest mode of transportation they can buy is a lowly Nissan (well, a GT-R) 'cause it only goes up in price from there. We are talking thirteen heavyweights including: a Ferrari 599, Audi R8, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, Aston Martin DB9, Maserati Gran Turismo, a trio of Lamborghini Gallardos and more to amount to an estimated $2 million of supercar fury.

Now with power, comes speed and this young clique (all under-20) decided to try and stretch them out to over 200 km/h on a public road. At one point, the group would hang back slowing up traffic so that the leaders could race highway runs in pairs. Highway 99 in Surrey, B.C. was the sight of this multi-cylinder procession that attracted a lot of attention on a clear mid-afternoon... cops included. Other motorists snitched and the authorities closed in to intercept the speeding vehicles before anyone was injured during the looming rush hour.

In a double face-palm moment, some of the mega-hp vehicles were wearing green "N" novice driver decals meaning they probably can't even parallel park let alone handle a 563hp SLS AMG at man's speeds. But for these boys, they had a great excuse because they were headed towards the town of White Rock for a friend's going-away party!? Why even talk, just lawyer-up!

All of the rides have been seized by police for a week while charges are being laid. Hit the jump to watch a video that could make a grown man sob like an old grieving widow!

COMMENT FOLLOW UP

The driver of the MatteBlack Audi R8 is Matt Zhang. He is the kid in the hoody at 37seconds in global news video embedded in the article.

Matt Zhang is a douchebag reckless driver who frequently gets into accidents. Most recently he was t-boned in his parents Porsche Cayanne shown here.

Just a few days earlier he showed up to a annual 600+ meet, and allowed people to borrow his car which ended up doing burnouts and causing problems.

His excuse: Sorry, just wanted everyone to enjoy what he does.

Unfortunately justice demands evidence prove his guilt, and this time it looks like nobody has any. Hopefully next time it won't be too late.

BTW: In this latest clip, Global News claims the driver of the audi r8 (Matt Zhang) admits that some were going easily over 200KPH, and that he was just following and obeying the laws. (LOL)

That last exchange student I spoke to here who was attending Western University said that when he came to Canada the gov. provided him tons of cash for education (ridiculous amounts apparently) so he bought websites but could have easily bought exotic cars. He said he used the websites more towards his class studies and never really cared how they turned out since at the end of the day he would be going back to HK but was happy to make some profit from them while in Canada since he didnt care about taxes and it was one way for him to have + cash outside of what his folks already gave him.

I wish the gov. gave me something.

yea, Canada takes education seriously. Back when I was applying for college up there, I got a $13k per year scholarship and didn't even have to apply for it. Much more tempting now...lol
