Default Home A/C repair

Our son needs a capacitor for his compressor and motor on the A/C it is a dual cap no biggie.
He called a place that is about 35 miles from him and they want 14.10 for it
He thought well maybe He could get one from a local A/C repair guy
Called one and they only service will not sell a part. Called another one says yep got one you want it.The son did ask how much are you charging for it
The reply 84.50 . He ask are you sure it is that much for a capacitor. The guy would not budge. I believe in a profit and could have believed 25.00
being a fri afternoon but that is too much .There is another place closer for 15.10 so he is going in the morning and get one

I had to replace my cap this summer, I think I paid like $30 for the part. Goddamn NYC markup!

couldn't find the part online? hell you could easily find a replacement capacitor from digi-key for a fraction of the 14.50 cost.
