You should paint it. It's a bit beat up and still in my trunk. It's a beefy bar. Probably easiest to sand blast it then paint it. I don't know anyone around that can do that for us though on the cheap.

They only do a OBDII hookup and don't even visual from my experience so far.

I think it's all a crock of horseshit. Asking the car computer if it's within spec is hilarious. Computers can lie/be tampered with. Sniff or GTFO in my opinion. Like CA, I think it's more a tax revenue source than anything now that they don't even sniffer.

 

In NJ it is TOTALLY the money. The safety inspections have been dropped and the only thing you need to pass is emissions. You can drive in with no lights working, bald tires and no brakes and as long as you pass emissions, you are passed.

Federal Funds are the only consideration. Highway safety means nothing.
