I bought my 00 base for $5200 with < 70k miles and it was always garaged. But, was driven in the snow.

I paid 3600 for the one i have now, asking 4k due to a bunch of stuff fixed. looking back i shouldnt have paid more than 2500 for it, live and learn. Anyway i plan on taking a jack and work light with me when i go look at it, the owner says it is a clean us title. the owner before the one that listed it was military, so i assume its been in the states for a little while. Good NA's are hard to find around here, my source for parts says its about a 4500-5000 car with a new top as long as it isnt rust i should say.

What about buying from out West/South and shipping? I paid $650 to have my car shipped from LA to my house and they were here in 2-1/2 days.

Maybe a member can go do the inspection for you.

this one is a 30-45 minute drive, at a decent price. with more features than i actually wanted, dont really care for the abs on these cars. if this is not the car for me then that is the plan.

So, what happen to track? Did you guys scare him off?

I was wondering.. can I run cat-less and still pass emissions? (IL has no visual inspection)

flying_solo Jun 8, 2012 09:49 AM

one way to find out ;) I would think you would throw an O2 error.

my friend took the cat off of his 97 race car and it the check engine light came on. the code reader read out every emissions code there is. wouldnt recommend it

I hollowed out my cat on my '96 and drove it for years with no CEL coming on.
