My reaction at the speeds we are seeing in that video and my lack of good depth perception will always handicap me. I wanna go fast and will push this little miata as hard as I can, but a full out race car wouldn't be a good idea with someone that can't judge depth with precision. You will see how close he is on the 911's ass. I can't drive that close as I really can't tell 5' from 7' away. Let alone inches. I have caught many a flying object in the face growing up due to my awesome depth perception. One good thing is, I have one hell of a hard head as a result. :)
Anyhow. What we race with when you race production sports car racing in Aussie and do the 1 hour series. With drivers like John Bowe (former v8 and group A driver among much more) Sorrensen from Europe etc, bought to race with the rich buggars, its makes it hard to even qualify let alone race.But what the f&*k its all fun!!!! Just watching Saturday Qualifing for the Bathurst 12 hour race, and buggar me ,old Ted is having another oooooooooooooppsy moment. Seems the car is a write off as far as racing this weekend goes.

"You can fix cars mate!" :P That had to have one been a hell of a ride. Modern safety equipment is phenomenal. Look at the violence of those rolls and he walked away. I'm sure he felt like an MMA training dummy the next day, but that was amazing.

Nope I was talking about the yellow Lambo that started in post 21.
Unfortunately for his team, Ted slammed into a wall in Qualifying and stuffed the car completely. It also recorded impact at over 10g's so to hop out of the car is indeed a testament to the safety equipment. And as for Fabian's little excursion, it'll buff out!!!! |

Some photos showing some of the cars we had to race with, my car no 55 was a 1.6 110rwhp trying to stay out of the way of some slightly faster cars :eek::eek:Scary when the difference at the start to turn 1 can be over 100 kph between us and say a Lambo or GT40.
