Default Water top drains

My 2008 Miata drains for the water run-off from the top have become plugged up. I have siphoned out the collected water but have been unable to unplug the drains. Hope someone can tell me what to do. Thank you

Find the outlets for the drains and shoot compressed air through them or run a piece of wire up through them.

Default If you go up from the bottom...

There are flaps inside the drain tubes that limit road noise and (hopefully) prevent critters from using the tubes as nesting sites. So if you clear the drains by going up from the bottom you need to then pull your trombone brush or piece of coax cable back down the drain tube from the top to re-set the flaps. If you don't do this the noise in your car can increase and water will have a harder time draining because the flaps will be blocking the water.

Thank you was able to open the drains but will follow your instructions to make sure the flaps are back where they belong. Plan also to pour water in from the top periodically to make sure they are still open. Thank you for taking the time to respond.
