Default Need wiring help

95M

First project - I am adding some driving lights that have 168 amber bulb secondary bulb. I want them to come on when my parking lights are on. But off when power is applied to the driving lights how do I wire a relay?

Second project - I converted over to the euro/japanese indicator lights. So I have the side parking lights. I also have the Canadian day light running module. So I have 1157's bulbs in the main section with both filaments on all the time except when my headlights are on, then they are off. My question is how do I make the running lights come on without the blinker filament coming on when my headlights are on? Will adding a jumper from the very side parking lights (see above), having two hots wired together be bad? Or do I need some sort of wiring shunt to keep the power from back feeding?

You want a single pole 12v relay with amperage greater than the fog light requirement. There will be 4 pins on it.

2 are for power connecting from the battery and on to the fog light power.

The other 2 are basically the on off switch. Think of it as a powered magnet. When you run power to it, it attracts an arm that will connect the power wire and allow electricity to the fog lights.

30 goes to your for light power source (battery). Use the correct wiring gauge and fuse it near the battery.

87 goes to the fog light power.

85 and 86, tap one to ground (a bolt on the car somewhere), and one should tap into your parking lights. These should take very little power, so a smaller gauge wire is fine.
